Learning From My Gambling Blunders

First to explain why I write this article. I have been gambling on the internet or at a brick and mortar casinos for many years. I have learned, the addiction can take a hold of you and you will not even realize it up until you are broke. Especially if you’re on a winning run. I’ve gone through many tens of thousands of dollars in a very short period of time and still on occasion, I’ll go too far. It appears you’re just having fun until you decide to track your loss and the anguish settles in, and then you keep telling yourself "I can get it back" constantly. It doesn’t works. Then you become sick in your stomach and the harder you attempt the faster you lose.

When you see that you’re up, remain on the UP! When you start to be beaten, don’t tell yourself, "well perhaps one more" and again and again, trust me, this concept hardly ever works. Say you are playing on slots, have a bankroll put aside before beginning your play. DO NOT go over that boundary, regardless how tempting. If you actually succeed, put that in a separate canister. Do not use your successes no matter what. As soon as you have gambled through your original set limit, bail out. Leave, regardless if it is on the net or at a physical casino, do not stay around. Always remember, there will be another day, a different time.

Remember, betting should be exciting not exhausting, nauseating work! If you aren’t enjoying yourself, you don’t belong there. If youcan not afford the cost, don’t even begin.
